Could anyone else BELIEVE that before the start of the England v Portugal game, the captains of the two teams had to stand around reading out a load of old cliche'd anti-racism SHITE, before shuffling around awkwardly behind a giant "Kick Racism Out of Football" banner. Before a World Cup quarter final, I want our captain and our players totally focussed on one thing - the crucial match ahead of them. I DON'T want them f***ing about with a load of mealy-mouthed FIFA officials, just pandering to the pathetic "lip service" FIFA give in making out they give a shit about racism in the game. If FIFA were that bothered, they'd have thrown the book at Spain after the disgraceful racist abuse raining down from the stands in that 'friendly' against England, rather than the derogatory £12,000 fine they dished out.
And they might have done something about that white haired old fascist Aragones as well.

But no, instead of that, they'll just have the kickoffs of all the World Cup Quarter Finals delayed so they can pat themselves on the back and congratulate themselves on their high profile "anti racism" stance. Well f*** you FIFA. Until you start dishing out adequate punishments for racist abuse, you can blow it out your arse cos we all know damn well that the reality is you couldn't actually give a flying f*** at a rolling donut about it.

Rants or demonstrations against racism should have been spontaneous and from the player's hearts and minds - but the pre-arranged speeches that players have to read straight from a printout is ultimately token.

When England played in Spain, Beckham should have stopped playing, stopped the play, and gathered in the circle side-by-side in protest. That would REALLY have said something - not playing on in dutiful professional arrangment then moaning afterwards.
