Rutter signed last Saturday morning and I don’t think it was announced until late on Monday evening so it could be a while before these two deals are confirmed.

So on Monday did they then tell us he had signed on Saturday or something? Seems weird.

Yeah. Signing contracts. Last minute negotiations ironing out details. Press photos and videos. They don’t need to train until next week with Sunday off. This all takes a few days.

A plane flew out of Biggin Hill at 13.40 today to Istanbul. Presumably he's popping back home to pack up his stuff.

Hopefully it was his agent without him.
He’ll need to leave the country and re enter on his work permit anyway once that is all sorted. If he can combine picking up his work permit with anything he needs to sort out back in Istanbul, him leaving now could reduce the amount of time it takes to get him properly training with the rest of the squad.

The silence says its in the bag. No "need" for agents, clubs or anyone else relevant to speak to Romano etc.

Phew. I wish someone had mentioned that earlier. His 'plane landed, then no further content.
There was footage on some Turkish Twitter account yesterday of him going into the London hospital we evidently use for medicals. Perhaps he met up with O'Riley for coffee while he was there.

Like I mentioned on the Matt O’Reilly thread, big Talksport exclusive double Brighton transfer fee busting morning to piss Simon Jordan off! 😂

The twunt will just pretend we've bought success, and conveniently ignore Bloom's genius and fact that he's made us successful and profitable.

I’m guessing you’ve never really listened to him talk about. Generally very positive about how well run we are and how lucky we are to have a very rich, proper fan as an owner 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have listened to him a lot. Yes he's generally complimentary about the club being well run, but he has claimed that we're where we are because of how much we've spent. When we finished 9th and then 6th he tried to take credit away from the club by saying we'd spent £400m (which was more than the other clubs) and that's why we were up there. He completely ignored that the £400m was to a) build a stadium after our last one was stolen and b) start building a team from a position of nothing, and also ignoring the fact that owners like at Palace have spent a similar amount buying their club, despite having written off a load of debt and getting a massive head start.

But that’s the point - we had an owner that bankrolled us himself. We were incredibly fortunate to have someone to do that with his ‘own’ money
