From 31 degree Blazing Squad sunshine in Turkey...to torrential rain and 17 degrees.

:amex:
Hotter here in Fethiye today 38c at 8.35am. About 15 different Utd fans watching here yesterday as well as little old me but I think every other neutral including Turkish waiters and 4 fenerbache supporters All cheering on the seagulls. I've even got the Mrs to wear brighton shirt to breakfast today. Needless to say best day of the holiday yesterday. UTA

I assume that's because they dislike Utd, and nothing to do with us or Ferdi?

Strangely it seems its a bit like the Japanese/Mitoma scenario....ive spoken to lots of the waiters and even a fair few national holiday makers who are Galatasary, Fener and even Beskitas fans and they have nothing but good things to say about Ferdi, not quite a national treasure but doesn't seem far off. They've told me they will always look out for Brighton results. They have said if reports are true we got him cheap. Even Mrs E managed to barter with Consumate ease when purchasing two handbags wearing her Brighton shirt. Maybe we having more overseas visitors in the future!

I work with a (Turkish) Galatasaray fan and he messaged me to say ‘congratulations’. I think Ferdi’s performances for Turkey in the Euros endeared him to many non Fenerbahce fans.

Has he been detained at Biggin Hill? No news at all. Maybe Farage, who lives locally, decided to go on a plane watch instead and found something untoward in Ferdi's paper's.

Very bizarre and I know time difference has nothing to do with it but a Turkish Dortmund supporting lad has told me both Ferdi and ORiley have signed and will be unveiled tonight at 10pm Turkey time so 8pm UK. He showed me tweet he had earlier but I didn't have my phone to hand. Don't shoot but l defo saw it with my very own cocktailed eyes! Hic
