Looks like nothing more than someone whose read Romanos earlier tweet and changed it to their own.

I don't think, as they cite, we're waiting for agreement to loan Barco first. If the deal with Fernebache can be done today it will be inspite of Barco.

Fernebache getting frustrating now!
Why are they getting frustrating? They aren’t doing anything we don’t do when selling a player. We can’t praise TB et all for holding a tough negotiating position and then moan when a club does it to us when we are trying to buy their most prized asset.

I’m convinced this guy is coming. Don’t blame them for playing hardball with the fee, he’s their most valuable asset by a long way and we’d do exactly the same.

Just hope we can get it over the line in the coming days before any last minute scares from other clubs.

I wonder if this is the successor to the Jonathan Calleri thread.

Don't think anything can get as messy as that. Out of curiosity I just googled him. He was finally bought out of his dodgy 3rd party ownership a couple of years ago and plays for San Paolo still.

With Jose Mohrinho as manager, it's going to be like pulling hens teeth to get him out but I think it can be done.

Interesting that Ferdi hasn't gone down the Caicedo, Trossard and Cucumber route of throwing his toys out of the pram and putting in a transfer request. Shows that he's got loyalty.

A few of the sources that have deemed reputable have posted that a contract until 2029 has been agreed and 'final details' between the clubs are being sorted.

No idea how reliable the sources are, but anyone could guess a 5 year contract and say that final details are being sorted. Is there an extremely reliable source saying that a bid has been accepted? Because you don't get to finalise contract details until it has.

I’d call it professionalism rather than loyalty if he looking to leave the club one may say he isn’t that loyal. But I do agree with the sentiment and it is, if all true, refreshing to see a player making clear they’d like the move but just getting on with things and not being a dick about it.

Istanbul based Skorer sports site claims the deal is done: “It was learned that Fenerbahçe reached an agreement with Brighton (https://www.milliyet.com.tr/haberleri/brighton) & Hove Albion on all terms. Brighton also shook hands with the star football player who wants to go to England.
It is expected to become official within a few days”.

Edit: the source, as the link shows, is Miliyet. A daily newspaper published in Istanbul. Sounds promising.

Yep as per other reports in the Turkish press this morning.

"Almost certain he will be leaving by the weekend....negotiations are now only on bonuses and the payment plan (fee agreed) "

Great news! Really feel this is an important link for us as it’s currently a significant weakness (I’m in the “predominately right back” club with Pervis back very soon)

Approximately 22% of Premier League games end in a draw.

42% of Premier League games are won by a margin of a single goal.

In his 7 seasons at Fenerbahce, they averaged +1.14 net goals per 90 minutes, when he has been on the pitch.

That means the goal difference per 90 minutes is +1.14, when he plays.

Hopefully Ferdi can have a similar effect in the Premier League.

Joel Veltman's stat, in his 5 seasons with Brighton, is +0.04.

Oranges and apples, I know, but still food for thought.
