Fenerbahçe Vice President Acun Ilıcalı, speaking on Beyaz TV, said that they are working to prevent Ferdi Kadıoğlu from leaving, but also said: "Mourinho likes Ferdi Kadıoğlu. He knows that if he leaves in the club's best interests, we will get someone in his place."

He's hardly likely to say we're going to flog him but want the best price, is he? All part of the negotiation game. The line about getting in a replacement if he goes is the most telling

Sounds like an absolute load of waffle covering all situations, well according to the translator to English that I used.
Turkish football is built on waffle. They make the British Saturday live round ups look like all action stuff. They show 3 hour TV shows with 2, 3 or 4 pundits talking football without a single clip of actual football - at best a clip from a phone of a signing or just a top player merely signing autographs. That clip will be repeated as they talk throughout the programme. The only thing more boring is an endless episode of their Master Chef, that appears to have a million contestants and a big fat judge that eats every last scrap of food produced.
Oh god I wish this signing happens soon, as this thread feels like being stuck in a Turkish family front room with the above shit telly on full volume all evening whilst everyone speaks Turkish and I nod, eat, drink and wish the etiquette allowed me to at least change the fecking channel.

Not by name, no, but he does state that more signings are “expected”.

Naylor doesn’t speculate on specifics and that is seemingly part of the Faustian pact he has with the club.
Milner said more or less the same in his post match interview.

And as usual contained absolutely nothing of interest or substance - he basically just listed all of the attacking players we’ve got. It’s incredible he’s getting paid for this stuff, money for old rope.
Spot on. He never breaks any news and is, in effect, an extension of the club’s press office.

What is equally disappointing with him is that he doesn’t write any incisive profile or opinion pieces. He just aggregates “known knowns”.

This is dragging on but nothing much seems to have changed except , we want him, he wants to come, contract is agreed, they want to sell but. Its just a case of the fee being agreed and they are presumably angling for as much as possible. . Sounds like that's close - Albion will want to wrap this up now. The window is shutting SOON.
ALl the other stuff (Man Utd for example) seems way off the mark but of course generates ££ .

This - a fairly sober Turkish source throughout this - and other outlets effectively reported that yesterday. BUT WE"LL SEE...

I’m surprised finger on the pulse Naylor hasn’t mentioned it.
Why surprised? The club didn't write it on its website yet, leaving him without sources. There's no way for Naylor to know what is going on regarding Ferdi.

This.

Because of the amount of noise around Ferdi, Naylor would have received a tip-off if there was no interest and then communicated this to fans.

He is keeping quiet on this because he is doing what he has been told to by the club.

He plays an integral role in confirmation, his pact is very important in terms of fans knowing for sure what is going on.
