He's their biggest asset so, understandably, they want to extract maximum value. No doubt they'll want a sell on clause to ensure another pay day when we sell him to Chelsea for 150 million in 2026.

That’s the way we tend to operate but I wonder whether we feel that a combination of Veltman and Hinshelwood will provide cover for the RB position and so if this deal doesn’t happen we’ll stick with that, especially as we seem to have pulled off our other main targets.
I really liked Hinshelwood at RB last season and his attributes are not dissimilar to Kadioglu’s.
We don’t seem to have been linked to many other RBs apart from Bah.
Perhaps Hinshelwood has impressed in training since his return from injury.

Odel Offiah was around on the fringes of the first team last season too - and he is a RB.
