There is absolutely no way that a bloke that is struggling to get into Espanyol's team will be sold for anything like 26.8 million.

His wages would be a major issue though (a quick google tells me he's on ~ £50,000 a week).

10m Euro release clause according to that article. Wouldn't necessarily even take that much as plenty of players are sold for under that amount if they are no longer needed, and he is no longer a regular starter.

No, but if that's what Espanyol are asking, a compromise fee of, say, half that would still be way beyond us. And that's before we even consider wages
