Fitness hasnt been the issue, as we have been banging in goals in the last 5 minutes for fun this year.

But we have also conceded a fair few goals in the last 5 minutes of halves which has cost a lot of points.

Might have been a good opportunity to send the players on some kind of team-building exercise. Seems to me there's been a distinct lack of team spirit this season.

I thought we had ESTABLISHED that there is nothing wrong with the club and there is no fans inner circle.

Move along please, nothing to see here. Everyone here is a NUMPTY for suggesting that Michael Adams is a piss poor soccerball manager.

I can't be bothered to look (and t.b.h. wouldn't know where to) but I am sure this is exactly what he did in the 1st season we were at Withdean and losing to last minute goals against Chester etc.

You mean like the stuff Dean Wilkins used to do, i.e. the day with the fire service etc.

Oh Dick. What have you done?

Makes sense to me; concentration levels drop when bodies are tired, and a lot of goals seem to be coming late in the half from set plays, which suggest concentration is an issue.

I expect Saturdays excuse will be we lost because we were tired
Unlikely. It'll be all about how we passed it better than them but didn't have any luck.

This will be THICKY's view of the game, despite the stats reading that Oldham had 26 shots on goal and we had 2.

From Andy Whing's weekly column in the Littlehampton Gazette:

"Without a game over the last week, we've been doing a lot of running in training.

We've been running up hills, through forests, down hills, and have also done a lot of work on the training pitch.

Our fitness is fantastic and will hopefully prepare us to get three points at Oldham on Saturday, after our disappointing recent results."

What about the SNOW? An excuse like that only comes along once a season, if you're lucky. Surely an opportunity not to be missed.

Adams teams have always been about fitness and running about a lot and being quite aggressive. I think he has tried his hand at being a tactician and trying to play football, I guess we're going to revert to being confrontational and running around like headless chickens now?

I just love the way everyone becomes the world's best footie manager when things go bad for us, I'd love to see how some of you would do in the hot seat, now that would be interesting.

Absolutely!! We've got problems and we're trying to sort them out, and people still criticise it's the 'wrong thing' as though they know it all. We don't realise, we've got so many brilliant managers and chairmen at this club ...

Still, just look at the people starting these types of threads....

Exactly. It's the same retards on every thread, that's why I do bother responding to any of it now.

What good does continually trying to stir up shit do-it's not as if you have anything original to say?

When will it sink in that Wilkins has LEFT the club and will NOT be coming back? (See, I can do unnecessary CAPS too).

Get over it.

So its been 3 weeks since we have done this mini pre season working on fitness.

On the pitch it has produced 2 defeats and a draw in the league, a draw in the JPT, redeemed by a penalty shoot out win.

In that time we have conceeded two last minute goals and created a central midfield dream team of El Abd and Virgo.

Did it work??? Has the extra fitness taken out all our stupid mistakes that have lead to us conceeding a goal?

Still I dont think its the fitness that is the problem, its the lack of creating chances and needless defensive mistakes.
