this sounds really cheesy but the line in 'drugs dont work' about the cat stuck in a bag about to drown gets me everytime!!! it really does! i think of a cat stuck being sropped in water...sniff...oh not again!:(

This Is Music. Saw them at the Brixton Academy in 97 speeding out of my head and it was so good.

Having just been listening to the greatest hits album on the way to work this morning, I would say either History or Gravity Grave. I went off them when they brought out Urban Hymns all went a bit slow and uninspiring.

History for me closely followed by the drugs dont work and third
is on your own. They did a live version of drugs dont work on MTV unplugged which I remember seeing at the time it was full of ammotion Ashcroft at his best. ordered there now album on Monday as well should arrive today:clap2:

Easier to list crap Verve songs, but my favourites would include 'Blue' 'All in the mind' and 'Gravity Grave'. Preferred the first two albums, but some alround cracking songs.
Truly atmospheric band both live and recorded.:smokin:

Bittersweet Symphony is helped to being good by the backing track which (as everyone knows) is a symphonic of Rolling Stones' classic track 'The Last Time'
