With the football season only running for another 2 weeks, it got me wondering. What is NSC's favourite summer sport??

From the list...

Joint 1st... Cricket/Rugby League
3rd... Athletics
4th... Tennis
5th... Crown Green Bowls

Flat Horse Racing on turf should be on the list too.

Without a doubt cricket...a gentlemanly game at cuckfield cricket club in nice weather. no better way to spend your weekend juring the summer!

Cricket and tennis, by a mile. I love the former - I don't actually think that a good close Test match can be beaten for nail-biting tension - but hate the fact that it's a sport administered by stupid, short-termist and often unforgivably posh cretins.

Incidentally, seems strange to think now that there once was a time on NSC when any mention of cricket was greeted with HOWLS of derision of the fine sport by some of the regulars. Mentioning no names. :BarnetandCroydonSeagullaswas:

I'm not really a fan of summer sports.

I do like formula one, but this summer I am mostly looking forward to the Lions tests.
