Stephen king the worst writer of an ending ever in the history of books. Basically most of his books end with to many lose threads so "they where aliens. The end."

If you like your horror this mans the real deal.

Welcome to the Official Garth Marenghi website May i recommend looking at his Cannon.

About And his new lost work. Surely a Booker prize winner of the future.

Misery, Shawshank Redemption and The Shining are all definitely up there..
Stand by Me is also v.good. The Stand splits opinions, but I like it. Green Mile also very good. Also Carrie, but may be a little dated now...

Not a fan of many of the films. Owning in excess of 25 of his books I only own 3 films from his novels. These are Dreamcatcher, Stand By Me and The Shining.

IT has to be the worst book to film conversion.

Shawshank Redemption.
There was a tv movie version of the shining, which I preferred to the kubrick version.
I also liked the green mile.

Shawshank all the way, Morgan Freeman is phenomenal in it, in my opinion one of the greatest films ever.

IT has to be the worst book to film conversion.

It has to be said that most of the films are pretty dire - probably because his books are so long and detailed that they just don't convert to the screen without losing too much.

I love the mist

The ending of the mist isn't kings version

He said he wished he came up with that ending himself

For those that have seen it, it's a pretty awesome ending

I seem to remember a long dispute about that on NSC!

My favourite book as well, didn't rate the film.. Often the problem when a book is that good, the film doesnt meet the high expectations... On its own it holds up ok...

All the good ones already listed, so I'll list possibly the worst one ever. The Langoliers. Starring former child actor Thingie McThingummy (the hologram bloke from Quantum Leap) and looks like its been filmed on Dom Joly's mobile phone. And what a storyline! King probably nicked it from a six year old's school exercise book. Two hours of my life I'll never get back.

I'd be thrilled if I ever discovered anyone else who has seen it. I'm convinced it's only me.
