Can Gershwins's Rhapsody In Blue be considered classical music? I think it can so will nominate that but I have to confess to knowing quite a few bits of classical music that I like without actually knowing what they are called.

There is just too much to choose from and it all depends on your mood at the time. Mine is usually something moody by Mahler but if you asked me this morning what I fancy listening to it will be Symphony Fantastique by Berlioz.

Impossible to pick a 'favourite' but for all sorts of reasons, this is a very special piece of music for me...

The democratic and free EU
Rachmaninoff was exceptional as highlighted in the film Rush. He wrote on the basis that he had a reach far wider than an octave. If you can play his second then the stage beckons.

Rach 3 is harder to play than Rach 2, and the real career maker/breaker. Both sensational pieces of music though.

Pavane by Faure.

Was used I think as the TV theme to the 1998 world cup.
