As I'm an Albion fan it has to be Marvin Gaye...

Stevie Wonder by a mile. What a talent. Marvin Gaye was pretty good on the whole, but doesn't beat Stevie for me. Early Supremes and Four Tops get honourable mention as well.

Marvin Gaye. Anyone see the documentary on him that was mostly based in Ostend? Trying to straighten himself whilst staying with a local family and playing a few concerts at the local venues. Sad that it all seemed to be working out then he goes back to the States and gets shot dead by his dad.

Great singer whose songs changed with the times which is more than can be said for most Motown artists. Also ended up writing most of his own stuff.

Wilts you wouldn't agree then that What's Going On stands up today much better today that Innervisions or Talking Book or in fact any SW albums?

Bit of trivia for you, Dwayne. What 1968 Jackson 5 song, first featured on 'Diana Ross Presents.......' was a hit in the 80s for Spandau Ballet?

(I'll remove you fom my ignore list if you get it right)

He has n't answered so...

The track listing on "Diana Ross..." is Born to love you/My Cherie Amour/Standing in the shadows of love/I want youback/Chained/Stand/You've changed/I'm losing you (I Know)/Can you remember/Zip-a-dee-do-dah/Who's lovin' you/Nobody.

I can't think of any of those that were covered by the Krays...sorry, Spands.

Put me out of my misery, what's the answer ?

Does Stevie Wonder count ?
Awesome.

Does Stevland Morris count ??

In my maths, Stevie gets 100%, 10 times 10 out of 10 .

"Never Had A Dream Come True" is one of the best songs of all time, by anyone. 'Music Of My Mind' is an outstanding LP too, not full of hits but just great.

Marvin's version of 'Abraham Martin and John' is incredible though, and 'Reflections' by Dianna and The Supremes was brill.
Can't forget 'Tears Of A Clown' by Smokey either.

(p.s. I believe the trivia answer is 'Stand')
