Will anyone choose something below Div 1:D

My jaw hit the ground when I walked into Old Trafford the last time we played Man Utd in the cup. I wanted to hate it but it was awesome.

The ground I expected to be amazing was Anfield but when we went there for the FA cup game the year we reached the FA Cup Final, it seemed to be much smaller than I had imagined it. However, after that famous win and the atmosphere on the day I would make it my favourite ground.

Huddersfield.

Munchengladbach played German hard rock (and The Final Countdown) through the tannoy. That was interesting.

OT is great, but Anfield disappointed me. Highbury is a lovely stadium in great urban surroundings but is hopelessly small.

My fave is the City Ground, Nottingham. A proper football ground which is normally fairly full and with a very picturesque setting. It also reminds me of my student days - my mate used to have a bedroom window of his digs directly overlooking the terrace at one end of the ground. Alright he couldn't see the near 20 yard area when there was a crowd on the terrace but free top flight football from your own bedroom! I ask you, does it get any better than that?

I liked Molineux and you have got to like Huddersfield's McAlpine stadium.

I went to Cardiff for the FA cup a few years back and it was pretty good shame about the surrounding areas....although felt very American - like Yankee Stadium except newer...

Highbury is good for atmosphere as everyone is so close to the pitch - I'd hate to live around there though..and they need better crowd control - I came out of there half stoned from the guy next to me who was more interested in getting wasted than the football...

Haven't been to that many though....

Have to say that Old Trafford was my favourite ground.

Highbury has a touch of class about it.

I sat in the front row at White Hart Lane. My knees were crushed against the wall.

The Goldstone Ground - too many great memories

Old Trafford is something special and agree that Anfield seemed smaller than expected but even as a seated stand there is something immensely impressive about The Kop.

Outside the Premiership I've always enjoyed going to Walsall's neat little ground.

London Rd is one of only four grounds in Divn 2 with terraces, but Poshies are embarrassed by the decaying state of the 'ends' these days.

Personally I think any ground is charming on a warm summer's day at the beginning of the season, when the kit is smart, the grass is green, the beer is cool and your expectations for the team are high... *sigh*

It all goes tits up so quickly after that.

I rather like QPR's ground, the name of which esccapes me. Cramped and old fashioned but so much more atmosphere than the likes of Leicester's new stadium, which is bright modern has good views and facilities but is all a bit too clinical.

As impressive as the bigger stadia are, I have to say that I look forward to games at some of the smaller grounds more.

Peterborough, Shrewsbury and Torquay fit the bill, but I like York the best.

Went to Old Trafford for England v Greece and had to adnit that it is impressive, but I've done about 80 grounds and in no way could I say that it was a favourite.

Well, The Goldstone is clearly my favourite (hopefully to be replaced in my affections by Falmer in a couple of years time - the design is stunning).

But I quite enjoyed my trip to the rebuilt Dean Court, nice little ground, and the water gushing out of the upstairs windows because the guttering wasn't complete was just endearing!!!
