A Mattel Winchester Saddle rifle. I've never seen one like it since - a real pukka toy. I can't believe I passed up the chance of one in pristine condition on eBay that went for £61 in the USA....gutted.

My twin brother and I got one each and set off for a ride on Christmas Day morning.
We got as far as Falmer when we got turned back by the old bill.
Got home to a distressed mum who thought we were only going round the block.
We just od'd on excitement, those were the days of wonder.

I had one of those- I liked it so much that when I was living in the States in the 80s I bought a real one - Model 1894 in 44 magnum!
