Going for a lads weekend away, Saturday night and Sunday night.

We're staying in the Quayside area (Premier Travel Inn) and need to know best clubs and bars to target.

I've heard of Bigg Market - how far is it from the Quayside? I've banked on one night Quayside and one night Bigg Market. Any ideas?

There used to be a couple of decent bars in the quayside called Offshore 24/34/44 (can't remember which) and The Quilted Camel (i think). plenty of dolled up geordie skirt in there from memory.

Also a good club up the hill a bit on the left hand side. Couldn't for the life of me tell you what its called though.

Avoid the Boat and you will be fine mate. That is unless your getting desperate then you will always find some scrag ends in there. Ba Ha's ( think that is the spelling ) is pretty good and always been lots of totty in there whenever I have been.

Common as Mook,
If you prefer the Northern version of class stick to the Quayside on saturday. However, it is easy to do both in one evening as not far apart. Bigg Market is better on a Sunday night - Blu Bamboo club in there is apparently the place to go later on. The Boat is rough but a right laugh and probably easier for a larger group of lads to get in (in my experience). Remember, coats are not allowed, whatever the weather.

If you want some "inside" info check out the burlarsdog.co.uk (or similar) for reviews, but don't take them too seriously, you will just have have a look around and see what you fancy.

Newcastle is a class night out so have a great time.

Excellent stuff. I shall pass all this info on. IS it black shoes in most of the clubs or bars?

Shoes is best - don't give the door staff any excuse not to let you in!

If you are really struggling you could also try Mood in The Gate. It has a couple of different rooms and gets a few in. Burger van and taxi rank right outside but it is all downhill back to the hotel.
Let us know where you went, how you got in etc.
