Can you not entertain any callers trolling out the usual rubbish along the lines of "step aside DK as you haven't a pot to piss in" etc blah blah blah?

The bottom line is that presently there is no evidence to suggest that there any millionaires out there just dying to pump money into the Albion, and that they are somehow being obstructed by DK. Obviously should we get Falmer then just maybe some people may come out of the woodwork, but until that point this whinge is just a waste of valuable airtime. Please note that i'm not saying that Dick should ever be immune to criticism but just on this point people need to engage their brains and be realistic.

There is no point as DK has NEVER answered a question put to him on the radio yet without trying to make a mockery of the caller unless it is something that either he wants to say or boosts his ego.

He should have been a politician far better at avoiding answers then our last one who just got it all wrong every time and put his foot in it.

If it was my money I would wait until Falmer is granted and the finances all in place so that I didnt fall with or be associated with the previous board if the plans failed. I am not saying that that is the reason but what I would do if I won the lottery.

Having said that I believe that the permission will be granted.

Exactly. On one of the phone ins (might have been Tuesday but I didn't catch much of it) a caller was going on about investors wanting to put money in and when asked who they were the guy said something like "well I've heard a few people on the terraces mention it". What a complete load of old bollocks.
If there are people there give us names or even better give the names to the media (does the Argus qualify?) who can go and question how serious they are.
If all we're ever going to get is "I've heard that...", "I have it on good authority...", or "The gut who sits next to me's mate's mum's brother knows Dick Knight's neighbour's dog..." then it'd be better if you just kept quiet. This is NOT evidence it is HORSE SHIT and doesn't do anybody any good.

Bens Grandad is quite right, even if DK makes an appearance on SCR (which I very much doubt), he never answers a question that's put at him unless it revolves around something that he wants to talk about or rightly said by Bens Grandad to boost his ego.
If anyone does put a tricky question to him, ie. signings he always manages to turn the question around and spout of about Falmer and then all of DK and his cronies applaud him.

Can someone possibly help me out with this answer as I may have missed it.
When Steve Sidwell went to Reading Dick Knight stated that he matched Readings figure which I believe was 500 grand, but could not compete with other demands, which I persume were wages.
Where did all that money go then, as Falmer was just as important then as it is now.

Pure speculation on my part, but what the heck everyone else is at it, but I think that someone like FBS was prepared to fork out that for someone of Sidwell's quality.
As it didn't happen we didn't get the money so therefore it couldn't have gone anywhere else.

Of course there are investors waiting in the wings, but they are not going to make themselves known until Falmer is approved. You don't get to be rich by investing in something as risky as Falmer until it's a nailed on certainty.

At least I hope that's right otherwise DK is sailing along on the seat of his pants if he hasn't got some sort of investment in place

Let's be realistic, NOBODY is going to put any serious money into the club with the uncertainty about Falmer. If they did, and Falmer was turned down, there's a good chance the club would fold and they'd lose their money. Would you take that risk?
I'm quite sure DK has people lined up who have agreed to put money in as soon Falmer is confirmed, but there is no way they are going to go public before then. Once we have Falmer we have a future and a product - a good product - to sell to investors. At the moment we have hope. Nobody is going to invest serious dosh on a hope.
And I agree, it wouldn't surprise me if DK stepped aside once we get to Falmer and hand over to someone who can take the club onto the next stage. And I for one will shake his hand and thank him for what he has done. The most important figure in the history of the Albion.
