Just watched it back. You’re right. He blindsided everyone. Man, he’s good.
TBF you're not going to get anywhere asking whether player x might be on his way out, however you phrase it. Worst case scenario you botch the wording and allow Barber to give a terse reply as in this case, best case scenario he says what he said on TalkSport, that selling players is in the normal course of business for a club.

Re the Ladies stadium. In a talk at Seagulls over Burwash a month or so back, PBOBE went into detail about this. He wants a temporary ground holding up to 10K and once the team have enough support he wants to move them into the Amex.
He then spoke of the difficulties of having a full time ladies team at the Amex regarding changing facilities and how a full time team would require the building of new changing rooms. A follow up on the day should have been "how did the England team manage when they were here?".

Good analysis.

Generally, I listen to these events and think “you have one question and you come up with that”.
At least Gilmour chap tried to ask about a genuine current talking point.
Onr of the other decent questions was from the young boy.

There really is a 'type' at these things, isn't there!? :ROFLMAO:

Why do people feel the need to state their credentials when they ask a question?

I constantly hear people complain about questioners starting with long rambling preambles but I can’t say I’ve noticed anyone do this over the past few years. Seems perfectly ok to start with a few introductory words but I rarely see that being abused.

If you listen to the last three (there were two last season) - this really doesn't happen anymore .Hardly anyone last night "stated their credentials". And there really isn't a "type" at all. Its just a range of different fans - young, old, men/women - some funny , some personal, some challenging, some questions that fall flat. And Johnny Cantor does a good job of keeping it moving and adding in supplementaries or asking questions of his own.

I believe that infrastructure improvements can be factored in and offset against expenditure for PSR purposes.
Dunno how these things work - would it be seen as relating to an overall BHA club "pot" or would the Women's team be seen and treated as an entirely separate "pot" of money for PSR etc.? Not sure I've worded that correctly but hopefully someone understands!

This bit is key. Johnny does a great job before it starts setting expectation: "Keep it short, no life stories or poetry, we only have an hour so lets make sure we get the most in". As a result, I think they've improved immeasurably over the years.

Instead of long yawning introductions about how their family starting following the club in 1972 because their cat died and they needed a new hobby and questions about rolling stock being owned by the club, we now only really get a couple of questions that miss the mark, and they're usually just well intentioned / poorly phrased.

The last two forums, it's actually been the kids that ask the best questions.

What a complete and utter THROBBER that bearded ponytailed (NATCH) "NSK" weirdo was. "Name 3 negative things about the club ??" Kinell.

Well, top of the list mate, number 1, is probably YOU. (God I wish Barber had come back with that).

F*ck off back to your real ales and your lentil support group, you miserablist timewasting cockspangle.
Someone said what we are all thinking. Finally!

According to the Athletic —
…Under the Premier League’s PSR rules, clubs are entitled to lose a maximum of £105million ($133m) over three seasons, although certain costs can be deducted, such as infrastructure, women’s football, investment in youth and community work…

Thanks, so the Women's stadium would come under the overall club pot, thus helping us with PSR (although I understand we're fine on that front).
