It's bizarre, isn't it?

To us, it's our football stadium, our home and something we've longed for.

But I think we forget that this project is also of fairly significant professional interest to architects, planners, legal bods, environmentalists, designers, acoustic engineers, lighting engineers, concrete specialists, steel specialists, landscapers, rock promoters and so on.

This is quite an iconic project in so many ways for so many other people.

Yeah, to be fair without them i'd have never have got the oppurtunity, but it was just a bit of a shame more albion fans cannot get on the tour. The video for the 1901 club was very very well done as well, and many commented on how impressed they were which is all good. Brought back some great memories, Harts goal to seal promotion, the Swindon Penalty shoot-out etc, all gave me goosbumps and a massive smile!

Spending 93 million on a stadium you would have thought they would have added a club shop the first time around. Seems silly they are submitting plans for one now.

Sorry i confused myself with what i was writing. The club shop was already in the plans, in the west corner of the north stand. I think it was the club museum and an extra storage area for the shop and a mezzanine level (might even have been 2 levels)of which im not sure what their uses are.

Looks like they've started on the west stand 'terracing', chalk being moved!:amex:

They've started it yep, and reckon it wont be long til its finished. Then when its done they start excavating the pitch which if i remember correctly needs to be dug down 1.5m from current levels.

In the last picture of the second batch is that taken from the middle or top tier of the West Stand?

If you mean the 3rd batch, it looks like the middle tier. The arch seems too far above to be the top tier.

It's an application for a much larger club shop.

In essence, they're making better use of the space in the North Stand.

Yep, but from what Martin Perry was saying i couldnt work out if it would be a much larger shop over 2 floors, or whether they would simply be able to use the upper floor for storage etc. I think the 1st floor (there may even be 2 additional floors subject to planning) is the new shop and possibly the Museum aswell, either that or the museum is on the 2nd floor.
Corr, what a shocking memory i have

Is it me or are the gaps in the corners going to be unusually large - the terraces for the seats don't appear to converge in the corners?

If they stay like that surely it will mean a fair number of additional seats could be added fairly easily to increase capacity without the expense of raising stands?

Really is starting to look like a stadium inside now and not just like a series of stands. One or two of those shots really gave you a feel for how on top of the game the fans will be - superb stuff.
