The Falmer For All Campaign is using some of the remaining postcards from the initiative in February to remind Hazel Blears, the new Secretary of State for Communities & Local Government, that we are still here and still waiting for a Yes decision.

If anyone can get to the club shop in Queen's Road today or tomorrow (Friday), please do so and sign one of the cards available. Please ask the staff if they do not offer them to you.

We will then amend the addresses of the cards and, postal strike permitting, send them off. Obviously this all has to be done very quickly!

We don't need huge numbers, but we do not want to take any chances in this vital matter to the future of the club, so a few hundred will suffice. But it's not easy at this time of year to get the signatures.

So please, take a few minutes out of your day if you can to complete a card and do your FINAL bit!

Thanks very much.

Hi

I have one pack left over from before (not my fault, I gave them to someone else to pass around and they had some spare) . So do we just send them to Hazel Blears at the same address then?

Sorry, have been incommunicado for most of the weekend.

If anyone has spare cards and would like to sign them and send them in, then please do so. Obviously you will have to replace the "Ruth Kelly" on the address with "Hazel Blears", neatly please, and send them in first-class to the House of Commons. It certainly cannot do any harm.

pointless imho tim. understand your desire to make a last grand gesture to ram home the message but it is probably too late to affect anything materially. recommedation for the decision will already have been communicated to blears in the "day one biefing pack". Given that the cards won't get to her before Friday 6 (if they go to her via the House of Commons) and the decision could be out on Monday 9 . but don't let that stop anyone sending cards
