Fairly Urgent query for anyone who uses Nike+ with an Ipod Nano

Nike have stopped doing the Sportbands for the time being but I quite fancy getting into this Nike+ thing (tried searching for the old thread but couldn't find it). I have no interest whatsoever in using an ipod but that is the only other way this will work so my question is:

How does the receiver connect to the Nano as there's one on ebay that the headphone jack doesn't work for about 15 quid? I have no intention of using it to play music but if the receiver uses the headphone jack at all then obviously this would be useless to me?

Auction ends at 9am tomorrow so anyone who can answer quickly would be much appreciated.

I got one.

It plugs into the connector that you'd normally use for the USB lead. Doesn't go near the headphone socket.
