Plan

Last season - not to go down, check

This season , consolidate, stop rot, flirt with play offs to keep interest but then fizzle out, check

Next season - ambition to possibly make play offs but no great desire to go up

Season after next - concerted push for promotion ready for Championship football at Falmer

But if we are ahead of schedule I'm sure the playing and coaching staff will not mind!

That's just common sense

Sorry, but reading our ambitions this year as getting 'creditable' draws against other promotion candidates - there's not much chance.

Both those sides are former Champions of EUROPE though!

Port Vale are the worst side in this league by some way Richie, the table does not lie.

It wasn't the fact we lost, it was the way we meekly surrendered to the worst team in the division. It was the pathetic performance that makes it all the worse, not just the disgraceful result. It was the way we went onto that pitch expecting to win without putting the work in. We're not good enough to do that by a long way, and to throw our entire season away in one afternoon is frustrating to say the least. If preparing a team so utterly badly is your idea of Wilkins "working wonders," then you'd be having his babies if we were any good.

I suspect she already has "had his babies".

I disagree. I think it does help. They need to know when we're not happy, and they need to know they're not good enough. If people just politely applauded performances like today, it'd do a lot more harm than good.

Come on Badger. I doubt the team would put in that kind of performance AWAY from home, because the supporters would actually SUPPORT the team. A crowd of 7,700 = a lot of whingers. The 1,700 Albion fans at Leeds got behind the team and made them play the way they did, I firmly believe that. The lads are exhausted, and need our encouragement.

Exactly. Yesterday's game was never going to be the walkover most Albion fans expected.
