It's all about your use of 'monolingual', which I've never heard before. It's just that it sounds a little contrived, although it's probably a word because we've all heard of 'bilingual'.

I’m a little surprised we didn’t try for an experienced DM, even on loan. A Phillips or Delaney for example. Just to dovetail with the new young talent for a season or so whilst they get up to speed with our unique style and the EPL.
However, I do trust the club on this. They normally get it right.
