My reasons for voting yes are simply because it feels very wrong to allow 'guest' tickets ahead of purchase history.
Furthermore, to state from the off that only STH's and 'MyAlbion+ Members' will be allowed to buy tickets for this game is a clear indication that money and increasing a paid for membership scheme, just for the right to buy tickets in future, is the clear objective here.
For balance, many 'guests' may well be Albion fans anyway and there will be a tiny minority of purchase history people who have only bought tickets to watch their club at The Amex from the home stands.

I reckon those that have bought tickets for guests will say no and those that fobbed out £30 for a membership will be a bit hacked off,those with purchase history will be sharpening their pitchforks.
Yes. After the season ticket holder and member priority windows there should have been a purchase history window before then opening it up to season ticket holder guests.
Commercially, you can understand why the club did it the way they did though. You can guarantee there will be more members next season.

I think it would have been fair to have gone through all the STH and member windows first, then open up to either purchase history (perhaps with a certain number of points) and guests at the same time.

Exactly that. I also think this money led approach will mean more opposition fans or armchair 'big club' fans in our end for this game.
Having said that, the club are rightly also interested in trying to convert those armchair fans of other clubs into proper Albion fans. Now that we've reached the Premier League, that is already happening.

Yep, names on away tickets and rigid traceability and non sharing of tickets when it suits. But 1901 club members and, now this game, shows that other rules also apply.

I said no because you would have let loads of United into our end, but actually this is the correct answer. Very sensible.

There will be potentially hundreds of these guest tickets sloshing around the open market for anyone to buy, so not the best thought out system from the club,I was thinking of buying a membership for next season but this has certainly put me off now.

I think that the club has made it pretty clear that this was a benefit of Season Tickets (greater benefit) and Membership (some benefit). Members have not got to the stage where they can bring a guest.
I imagine a good percentage of those who’ve been bought a guest ticket will have been to games before.

What is the point of purchase history supporters having membership points when they can't be used as a priority in situations like this

It does feel a real shame that genuine long-term fans may miss out if they were unable to find a STH who would trust them with a purchase on their behalf.
They have, certainly, but there seems to be a few fans, often now living away from Sussex, who did not personally know any STHs who could help them with a guest ticket. We've seen a fair few of them on here, asking if there are any STHs who could help them out.
