Well a guess would be that it's because cardiff are welsh but I don't see what baring that has on things. It's not an international tournament. It's the English F.A cup. That is to say it's the cup organised by the Football Association of England. Therefore, they play the English national anthem, which, incidentally, is also the BRITISH national anthem, which also incidentally, is what the Welsh are.

On the plus side, the BBC appear to be allowing overseas listeners to listen to this game. Which is nice. Premier league games are always cut off.
