Presumably the ones who can’t be bothered to go to away games to build their points totals then whine when they can’t go to a game with a small away allocation.

Well quite.

My personal, minor grumble, is the range available for Tier 2 allocation.
It's frequently way too wide for a handful of tickets.
But that's only because it occasionally affects me at the moment.

The answer to my particular gripe is, for me to get off my arse and go to a few more away games

The most important factor for loyalty points is the length of current season ticket renewals.
Someone with 24 of 25 yearsas a season ticket holder, with a gap in the last 5 years, will have significantly fewer than someone who got their first season ticket in 17/18 and has stuck with it.

I am now an Albion+ member with 226 member points. If I go back to being a season ticket holder do none of those member points come with me?

Doesn’t really matter. It is a depreciating asset as points are halved each season.

Is the famous Bloom logarithm actually written down anywhere? For transparency’s sake it surely should be somewhere. I’d like to know the truth about some of the points made in this thread. Was there a reset in 2011? Does anything from Withdean or P’field really still appear in anyone’s totals no matter how small? What is the proportion of current season ticket weighting in your score (I was actually surprised how really low my partner’s total is, a recent new season holder, compared to that of me and our son, who have had one for a fair bit). Is it possible for someone without a season ticket but who try to go to all the aways since 2011 to make it into any of the tiers?

Maybe something the fans council can ask if none of us know the truth of it all. Transparency is good!

My understanding is that you will have lost 200 bonus season ticket points this season.
I assume at the beginning of next season, your member points will be halved and added to you season ticket points.

The bonus points piece is open to interpretation, but i took it that you lose the 200 bonus points as it isn't consecutive prior to the current season.

From memory, the long standing Withdean ST holders got first choice of seats at the Amex - certainly a fair reward. Think you’re right on loyalty points though.

I think the system of points for successive seasons is good. It rewards fans that renew regardless of how well the team has done. I’m going to wager that the many who don’t like it are the significant number that didn’t renew in 15-16 after the Hyppia season. If we were to get relegated, it’d be a good incentive to keep your ST rather than wait until we’re promoted again.

I definitely remember a game where I placed my application/envelope in a plastic dustbin outside Withers. It was an evening game.
