Hamilton blown away by Button in qualifying, is the pressure of being up against the current World Champion beginning to tell? Seemed nothing was wrong with his car or the handling, just not quick enough.

Don't think so. Reckon there must have been issues with the car.

:

Apparently not.

Lewis Hamilton on his qualifying display: "It's not really stressful, we're just not in Q3. I struggled to get time in the last sector and when I put new tyres on I couldn't get more out of them."

At least he can start on hard tyres which should benefit him in the 1st stint over most of the top 10 who are on older soft tyres, except Schumacher and Rosberg?

I was clinging on to the idea of car issues. Damn.

Hopefully the small advantage he has with tyre choice and the fact he's a true racer will make for a good race tomorrow. Would expect (and hope) him to finish a few places above 11th.

If his head is in the right place so would I but I won't be suprised if he has a coming together with a wall in his efforts to make good his dreadful qualifying. Should be exciting either way down the field as it seems the Red Bulls are gonna romp away from the rest of so not much to see upfront I wouldn't think.

He needs his Daddy. Apparently it's only the second time he has been to a race without his Dad along. :glare:

Let the last 24 hours be a lesson for all those posters who think Hamilton is some sort of God and Button is rubbish:

1. Hamilton's arrest for "over-exuberant" driving, following by a piss-poor Q2, and
2. Jenson's solid 4th in qualifying alongside putting him ahead of Schumacher, Massa and Rosberg

prove that Hamilton is NOT the finished article and that Button IS a good driver.

If Lewis played Cricket he'd be Kevin Pietersen.

Great drive and win by Jenson. Some great driving by Lewis also but boy is he feeling the pressure of having a driver of comparable ability alongside him. The whinging about tyres and who called the changes when he got stuck behind Alonso was not the behaviour of a champion. Grow up Lewis and accept that you have a team mate who is not gonna roll over.

All in all a great Grand Prix and most enjoyable to see Schumacher back with the also rans and struggling against them.

Good to see Schumacher struggling to pass Algersuari too :lolol:

Was very amusing to hear that on the comentary!! Welcome back Michael :lolol:

A great race that showed it was Bahrain that was the problem as to overtaking, not rule changes!! True showcase of F1 today!
