Alonso although a good driver in his own right has proven this year that he does not like being upstaged. I think he should go to spyker or somewhere that will allow him to be no1 in the team. I can not see Ferrari allowing him to be no1 and Renault have just signed Piquet jnr so he can forget that option as well.

Apparently Ron is a bit pissed off with the pair of them.

Is it true that Hamilton is only being paid £250,000 for this season? That compares to £15m for Raikenenenen (sp?). The BBC web site had something about Fiat pressing Ferrari to offer Hamilton £17m to move to them for next season. I amgine with lucrative sponsorship deals that Hamilton is earning a lot more than the £250k basic salary! But as a rookie could he have expected more?

Whatever happens Alonso and Hamilton will not be team mates next season.

Will give McLaren Reserve Pedro da La Rosa a chance to show he's good enough for mclaren's no 2 as he looked good when replacing montoya last year

I though he looked error prone and off the pace. Never good enough for a top race seat.
It's a shame that it has been allowed to get this far. We should be revelling in a battle between two great drivers and instead we get these childish shenanigans.
I don't think Alonso will go to Ferrari, but a return to Renault may be on the cards to replace Giancarlo "very average" Fisichella.

Way out west
...that is the best suggestion yet, about time Jenson had a decent car to drive.

Don't think 'Honest' Ron will be around beyond the end of the season anyways. McLaren have got away with all sorts of dodgy stuff off-track this season. Dead man walking innit.

Ron Dennis IS McClaren so I doubt there is a hope in hell of you being right..unless he drops dead of course.

According to wikipedia 'Ron Dennis CBE (born June 1, 1947) is the chairman, CEO and 15% owner of the McLaren Group. He is also the team principal of the McLaren Formula One team.'

Which I reckon leaves 85% not-best-pleased owners of the McLaren Group.

You are having a giraffe right? Top two drivers in the World and the best team. it doesn't get any better than that and how it's been achieved is irrelevant, It's results what count so just who is gonna be upset and calling for Ron's head??

McClaren are at last matching Ferrari in the cheating and rule bending stakes and not before time either.

Oh well, let's wait and see aye? Apart from anything else, both of 'the top two drivers in the world' will be buggering off at the end of the season, albeit for completely different reasons. Ferrari want LH, and are willing to pay whatever it takes, and Alonso just wants out. Or don't you read the papers?

brighton, actually
so, just why did Alonso stay so long in the pit space, during qually? did he stall> was he told to? who by? or is he, as I expect, just an arrogant tawt who needs to be show nhe is not above the sport.

And has Ron explained the delay (Alonso 'following team orders'? my ass!).

the fact the pit crew werent hassling alsonos out of the space makes me wonder what is really going on..
