In the next few days on a two year deal. Stockport have been sold to a consortium by the administrator so all is well for them and they can continue to let their best players go now, preferably to us!!!

we already got their best player?

Why does Stockport coming out of administration make a deal more likely. Surley it's less likely now they can afford to pay their bills.

Would it be OK to start panicking about next season if he decides against signing for us and goes elsewhere?

why does that mean he will be signing? Surely that means they have cash to pay their bills and whatnot so can turn down low bids for players. Hoping your right though

Coming out of Administration doesn't necessarily mean they are a wealthy club, it means they have balanced the books and will want to take cut's to the wage bill to ensure that this wont happen again.

The Administrator has helped with the dealings and selling of the club but money will be needed to then pay the unpaid players and that is before clearing the debts.

So players will be sold and according to many different web pages Dicker will complete the move for a bargain 40k on a two year deal.

Well I have read it in the Argus a few times and on the Stockport county Forum plus it was published in their local paper. I would be ecstatic if we can get him for under 150k but 40k is excellent.

Hmmm - I wonder if there has been any indication in the last week that he is coming here cos the impression I get is we are waiting and hoping - hope you are right

I really hope this happens. I was very impressed with Dicker and we need to start making progress with the squad rebuilding. Fingers firmly crossed.

Great news, i thought he looked a top-class player towards the end of the season, with superb performances, eg Bristol Rovers. £40,000 is a ridiculously good price if true. He would be a huge asset to our promotion push next season :flameboun

Well, I hope that Dicker signs... I would say we need him plus 4 others to bolster our midfield...

Surely other teams will come in for him, he showed what a good player he is and is worth much more than 40k, much more.

Has Dicker got a girlfriend or wife, what if she doesn't like living down south, can we find out before we sign him on a two year contract only to find he puts in a transfer request a month into the season.

Club should make sure the players other half is happy with the deal before signing players up it seems, Christ, signing players just gets more and more complicated :jester:

Right now, everyone is saying how good he is, but wait till he finds some greater opportunity, then suddenly he's a crappy player, and can easily be replaced. Lynch and Murray spring to mind.
