right, need some serious advice. i wanna book an exotic holiday in feb/march the best place ive been to is the maldives but ive been there twice now and wanna try somewhere else.
thing is i dont like big hotels like a nice bit of seclusion. like the sort of desert island thing
at the moment im thinking phi phi or krabi in thailand, already been to koh samui so not sure about that one or maybe borneo , india.

really dont know what to do

anyone got any ideas?

as 10cc say, not in hove
i went to phi phi in march this year, and have been to samui before.

my advice: both lovely, phi phi is a bit crowded, samui larger and slightly less beautiful. of the two i preferred samui but avoid chaweng which is mucho touristico. go north to bhoput or somewhere. if you go to phi phi book before or get there early in the morning cos all the best bungalows go real quick.

if you like the desert island thing maybe go to zanzibar?

all of these options are fantastic btw.

don't go to krabi town which is crap, surrounding area is wonderful though..

enjoy

phi phi don is not quiet. just isolated. lots of travellers etc. lovely place though.

what about the caribbean st lucia is quiet and antigua or aruba is supposed to be nice.

or i have been to langkawi in malaysia which at the moment is very secluded although i have heard its becoming more prominent in the market and they are trying promote it more. very quiet and nice and hot that time of the year i went two years ago and it was great and dirt cheap too

yes, it's wonderful. spent 4 nights in stonetown the "capital" in emerson & green hotel (supposed to be among the nicest locations in the world, and it's not bad, or too expensive) then 4 nights up north. fantastic place.

if you want exotic that's your place.

Had a great 3 weeks in Zanzibar - not really much of a desert island though. Most of the hotels are a reasonable size.

I had a very good stay here: http://www.hawks-nest.com on Cat Island in the Bahamas. It's how you'd imagine the Bahamas to me - not like Nassau/Paradise Island where Atlantis et al are situated. By all means stay a couple of days there, but then jump on a small plane and head to Cat Island. You will literally have beaches to yourself all day long. Ideallic.

i had my honeymoon in Koh Samui Thailand which was top notch just avoid the east coast

done that already
stayed in chaweng for a week and decided to move up north after seeing a huge fight break out. it was like a tropical southend

up north was nice though

My honeymoon was at the Datai in Langkawi, Malaysia. We stayed in a wooden villa on stilts in the rainforest. Best place I've ever been by a mile. If you left food on your terrace, monkeys would swing by and nick it!

Falmer, soon...
If you're after deserted, when I went to Cayman we went to a remote island nearby. We were two of 7 on the Island at the time.

Probably no one there now however. . .
