I need to calculate the absolute difference between 2 sets of figures ie. the difference between 2 and 4 is 2. However if i do a calculation of 2-4 then the result comes back as -2. I need the figure to always be a positive number.This is for a footy spreadsheet for a competition that me, my neighbour and my daughter play every premier league week to see who can best predict goals scored by teams, and therefore it is very important

For example if i estimate Brighton to score 2 goals, and we actually score 4 then my penalty for my Brighton prediction is 2. At the end of the day the person with the lowest score wins.
