The day finally arrived. The last piece of the arch would be positioned.
Unfortunately Jack Straw was heading for Leeds, so I had my work cut out today.
Bright but cold.
Parked at Falmer village at 9am.
Set up the cameras hoping it wouldn't take long for the show to start.
At precisely 9.15am, the massive white lump of archness began it's slow rise into the air.
There I stood for nigh on 2 hours.
People came and went, gawping as the structure inched into position.
After a walk round the site taking shots from different angles, I ventured to Hollingbury again for the obligatory long shots.
MARVELLOUS SCENE
Video will follow later.
Loads of photos today.
4 batches of 5.
