The first twenty minutes, after that we were a match, by the time Young got sent off we were well in charge. Got sick and tired with one of the commentators constantly claiming we were lucky with the penalty and how that would have changed the game. Frigging egit that penalty call is precisely why we need VAR, it prevented a clear and obvious error.
It was former evertonian, osman

Really interesting and really promising. Early on it felt like we were going to need a while to work RDZs tactics out of our side, felt like Steele, Dunk and van Hecke were playing RDZ style and Wieffer and Milner certainly weren't, so quite disjointed. And then we became deadly on the break, wasn't that fun! One we got the first we just started to flow.

Thought Minteh really needed to show something to justify keeping Adingra on the bench - and he did, really aggressive pressing and one hell of a turn of pace, great start. Impressed with Wieffer as well, a couple of glaring errors and some early underhit passes might stick the longest in some people's minds, but he was always looking forward, some lovely first time passes turning defence into attack, strong in the tackle, a lot to come from him I'm sure.

Awesome to have Mitoma back. Unplayable at times, and helped Hinsh out a lot in defence. He'll miss playing at Goodison.

Loud booing when Holgate came on. Cantor/Aspinall felt from Evertonians too.
I heard that, I wasn't sure if they were booing the person who came off or the one that was coming on as I know nothing about any other club. Seems harsh though, not the best way to motivate your team from the fans & that's without their ground being completely empty at 94 mins. Made our early leavers look great! 😁

I’d be shocked if Brighton pull off a victory here".

How could a professional, paid, sports pundit say something so stupid.
Because he is thick as pig sh*t, can barely speak coherently and only gets a job as a pundit because he's 'good old Merse'.

Just leaving Stanley Park - what a strange old game that was - Wieffer and Milner were as poor in the first half as Minteh was good but a lot of big match turning moments went our way. My Everton mate who watched the game on TV abroad is seething about the non pen 🤪

Ah well - great result but some work to do in that midfield I reckon. Please Napoli go away!

Last season, even playing that well, I suspect we'd have conceded. Not this season. A huge bonus if Hball involves some pragmatism in defence.
Yes. Big positive. Helped that they were down to ten but it was good to watch us adapt to circumstances as they altered throughout the game.

I thought Wieffer was really good today. Just what we need.

That pragmatism was seen from the off when Steele decided to go (relatively) long. Of course, we did (and will) play out from the back more often than not but signs are we'll mix it up a bit more.
