Every year Everton come to The Amex their fans sing a song that seems to go.... "EVERTON..... nah nah nah nah nah nah.., WOOOO!!!" It sounds great but I have no idea what they are actually singing. Anyone on here have a clue what they are on about?

They are on about Everton, I think. They quite like the club. Just guessing.

Excluding the wonderful chants Palace come out with (which is a separate category altogether) that Everton chant that goes Woooooh is neck and neck the worst chant by opposition fans we hear all season. It's closely fought with some incomprehensible durge Burnley come out with that we get a year off from at least.

After the high of that Man Utd game when Ali Mac scored the last minute penalty, nothing bought me back to earth more than an Everton stuffing and listening to that shit. Here's hoping history doesn't repeat itself.

Every time we play Wolves they sing a song that goes ’………Watford’.

I’ve no idea why.

Eeeeeeverton, woooo, the world's greatest football team

Or something like that.
Still have nightmares of that song when they smashed us 1-5 the other year 😮

Other than that and a couple of other songs, I always think Everton seem very limited re the variation of songs they sing. Especially at Goodison where, despite what the media will have you believe, the atmosphere is always (in my experience at least and when watching on telly) absolutely dire and makes the Amex seem a cauldron of noise

I like it! You'd have to be dead inside as a football fan not to get a smile on your face with this after they stayed up on the last day or close to it.

The Everyon woo song is indeed terrible but that god awful yippee yay something or other thing Villa sing runs pretty close to worst song.

The dull part of the south coast
NSC: fans should sing something different not the same old durge that all clubs sing”

[when they sing something different]

NSC: “that song’s complete durge”

🤣🤣🤣🤣
Also, it’s a complete dirge!

Achtung! Here come the pedant Nazis! :lolol:

P.S. Durge was a fearsome male Gen’Dai bounty hunter who was active during the Clone wars and Imperial era. It’s all to do with Star Wars and stuff.

Mate, I’m on the side of pedantry. Kicking myself as I spelt it with an “I” and then went back and changed it in line with the singular reference on this thread* I’m hanging my head in shame.

*I wasn’t having a pop at said reference individually more a light hearted overview of NSC

It is so much better than 'glad all over'.

What's wrong with it? They like it, they all seem to know the words, they smile and enjoy themselves - and it sounds loud (and sung in time). Surely what it's about.

They probably think 'what's that song about time to be gay those Brighton fans sing?'

Indeed.

But I've highlighted the best bit of that video!
