Should of started palmer and Watkins made a brave call and left out unfit Kane and out of form foden

Foden was good against the Netherlands.

I thought Foden played well tonight, his work rate and trying to make things happen. Sadly for him, Rice/Kane/Mainoo offered little.

Strangely i feel no emotion at this loss, years ago probably but its a case of oh well 🤷

Edit, now if that was Brighton in a cup final, probably structural damage to my house and a lengthy ban from here 😉
Yes, disappointing we lost but expected. Brighton losing, that's a different matter, I'd be distraught.

In 12 days time, the Olympics will start. We'll have plenty of winners there. We have sportsmen and sportswomen who can get it done.

But Southgate isn't a winner in football.

He never was as a player,

He never is as a manager.

And quite possibly never will be.
And if you work for a company then they can have an away day with many Medallists

It really was. When you think Albion's keeper probably kicked long aimlessly about 10 times all season, watching Pickford hoofing the ball up the field endlessly is a sad indictment on Southgate's tactics. In fairness to Pickford he's a good shot stopper.
Hoofing it to foden or saka who are 6ft combined is insane. No wonder the ball just came back to Spain.

Utterly bonkers.

Did I hear Brighton are in advanced talks with Barca for Lamine Yamal?

He was so impressed with Fati‘s development with us, he‘s agreed personal terms apparently :ascarf:

Pretty much exactly the same here. We deserved nothing. It would have been lovely to win but let's be honest, it would have been a travesty.
Much easier to take when the winner won fair and square. We usually exit having played well and/or with a controversial decision involved.

Congrats to Spain.

Minor point: only 4 mins added time (3 goals and a load of subs in second half)

Ref blew bang on 4 mins despite a couple of Spanish “injuries” in that period. Should have been at least 2 more added.

I was a bit surprised by that.

Referee was very good tonight, mind.

With Euro 2028 being held over five nations, I wonder how automatic qualification works.

The only solution I can think of is that all the home nations go into qualifying and of those that don't make it the best two performers go through.
