Baffling decision. Anyone who has been to the European Championships has seen the difference it makes to a country.

terrible idea....its good to have it all in 1 country.........idiots.

imagine the travel costs if your team ends up playing in 5 different countries?

I think it is a good idea as it allows many countries to get involved in the tournament. I think it is a good one-off or trial but i can understand how the spirit might be lost through having so many locations and players might get tired through having to commute. I thought the South African world cup wouldn't be very good until it took place and it proved my presumptions wrong so this could be something special, you never know.

So who gets to host the final then?
How is that decided?
Prefer one competition- one country.

Why? Wembley would be full I suspect for matches.

Cities can bid for 3 group games and a round of 16/quarter final.

Yes, but Mosieur Platini will be lobbying all his cronies with promises of lavish cheese fondues to ensure the games are played outsude the U.K.

I wish NSC could rig this vote. To think, CREWE would have made a fantastic host City!

The ONLY rational explanation for this move would be to share it amongst countries who would otherwise (due to issues with size, infrastructure etc) have no chance of hosting on their own.

However, I think it's unlikely that we'll see many games in Vilnius, Podgorica or Chisinau.

Mental.

I cannot think of one reason why this will be better than the current format. Can anyone else?

the final and the semis will be played at the same ground.

only one ground in each of the 13 countries to be used.

some small nations will use smaller 30k stadia for group games.

i dont like it....

so holland v england in estonia for one group game in a 30k shithole?

I suspect that because the number of teams in the tournament is being increased to 24, that UEFA wanted to give smaller countries such as Holland and Scotland the chance to host some games.
