Anjem Choudary has come out and said he supports REMAIN, it's fairly relevant I'd say when someone says that all REMAIN supporters (e.g. Bobby George, Anjem Choudary) are normal and LEAVE supporters (Liz Hurley, John Cleese and half the UK population) are not normal.

The polling stations open in 13 hours 50 minutes and we still haven't don't have a clue about the simple facts of life in or out of the EU.

We've been so well served throughout this vote for leadership of the Conservative party, sorry I mean EU referendum.

every other split I can think of has been a boon, well maybe not for Pakistan but they are a speshul case.

I live in an Eastern Block country now Kelvin Barber and it has been amazing to see the damage that joining the EU has done. In 2007 Bulgaria joined the EEA on probation prior to joining the EU. While an EEA member Bulgaria changed for the better, but the EU started to push for Bulgaria to create more debt prior to full membership, as it was mainly a debt free country. This immediately caused bankruptcies, and suicide rates went up. On joining the EU in 2014 all hell has broken out. BG is a heavy milk producing country and never imported milk as there was never a reason too, under the EU, it now imports cheap milk from Poland and slashed milk prices over 50% to the farmers. Exactly the same as in the UK. This has now happened across the whole of the agricultural sector, making an already poor country poorer, pushing them to apply for EU subs that they never needed before, to increase debt and governance over them. People are being forced to have bank accounts, that they are charged for, which they never had a need for before. This isn't progress this is EU control and this is exactly what happened to the UK but much much slower, so less easy to see and define.

I've been to Bulgaria twice in the past two years and spoken to lots of locals.

Not one said anything about the EU but a lot of them spoke about the difficult transition from communism to capitalism which is still evolving in the country. It's the fact that gangsters and corrupt politicians run everything that seemed to be the major concern of everyone I met, although they still seemed mostly happier with the current situation than the old regime.

Especially the young people who were able to travel freely and study in countries with better universities. One (absolutely stunning) girl who worked as part of the entertainment team in our hotel was moving to England to study in Southampton. She spoke perfect English along with German, Italian, French and Russian and was really looking forward to coming here (and paying huge amounts of money for the privilege).

Still undecided but edging towards stay in as I cannot see the benefits of leaving. If it was to join I would vote no but not sure about whether to stick with what we have rather than the unknown.

Or the far more liberal countries in Scandinavia? Or the far more attractive climates of Southern Europe? None?

I see anyone like Liz Hurley or Botham or Cleese have had the full treatment of insults.
Seeems strange to me that "heroes" of the Left like Dennis Skinner and others want OUT, yet the Left seem to have sucked up to Cameron....NOW they believe his spin and scaremongering, even the Lefts saviour Corbyn is not really a fan of the EU, yet the "working" class Left are right behind Call Me Dave....strange.

Actually I'm not so sure. We've been in the EU long enough, and it's been getting worse year on year, with us powerless to stop it. If we left the EU, they would have to take a long look at themselves and where it went wrong. Other countries would also consider leaving, for similar reasons as us. It's quite possible the EU would then change, rather than collapse.

I don't think it'll make any difference. Many Scottish people feel Scottish rather than British, and wanted independence despite the financial benefit they get from being in the EU. And that's also despite the fact that they joined us over 300 years ago. We've fought together for centuries, ruled an empire together, but they still see themselves as Scottish not British. So there's literally no hope that the countries of Europe will ever put their neighbours ahead of themselves.

That's not to say the Europe can't work, of course we can all get along and trade to each others benefit. But to pretend countries will ever put Europe ahead of themselves is naive, it just won't happen.

France would be the most likely candidate for holding an exit referendum if we leave. The result could depend largely on how successful they are at winning financial services business away from London. They are quite hopeful they can take a lot of it, if we go.
If they do not win enough new business, they will be quite likely to vote out. If that happens, the gig is probably over. The fall out of that could be very bad indeed for all of Europe, including us.
