Who did you speak to, they wont do it for me..

They wouldn't do it for me either, they said the offer was only sent to people who had ESPN previously.

I managed to give my 31 days notice immediately though, so I only have to pay for one month instead of two.

This. I take it you can pay for just one month? ie you sign up for it and then cancel straight after the game? Or would you end up paying for two months due to their 31 days notice rule?

I'm thinkng I will call up and cancel after the game which should mean no charge although i have stuck a reminder in my calender to cancel on the 11th december which gives the 31 days notice before I have to pay anything.

The news that the game is live on ESPN was very well received by the literally thousands of Albion fans in the US of A. It's all very laudable laying on a train after Southampton away but I can exclusively reveal that plans are in place for one of those new super jumbos to ferry all of us ex-pats over next August. Leaving sunny Florida Flight "Gus (Air) Bus" will travel up the eastern seaboard before arriving at Gatwick in plenty of time for beers and a curry on the Friday.

Rung the sky number 08442411411, and said I'd seen a flyer offering a 2 month free trial. The lady I spoke to said records showed nothing had been sent out to me, although there was the offer available. This is why she could I have to pay for it and she will apply a credit to my account for the £18.

48 hours gone, nothing heard ,,,wankers...so I called SKY and they told me the offer was not available from them....

48 hours does not cover the weekend apparently, so she said wait until Monday,,,

if not I will have to slash out £9

Sky handle all the subscriptions on behalf of ESPN , so putting it simply , if you sign up online or over the phone the activation signal is sent out by them. If the ESPN channels haven't cleared and its more than 48 hours since signing up then ring up again and ask them to send out the activation signal again.

same with me,
so i rang sky. someone else handles the authorised activation of espn. i took the offer of 3 months at £4.50 per month and you can cancel straight away so you only pay for one month or leave it til mid january then cancel before it goes to £9 per month.

1 month at £4.50 or
3 months for £13.50
