challenger, Nat Lofthouse (18%).
In third place was England's leading scorer of all time, Sir Bobby Charlton
(10%), who finished just ahead of the current England captain David Beckham.
Legendary winger Sir Stanley Matthews finished in fifht place infront of
some more modern-day greats - Alan Shearer (6th), Gary Lineker (7th) and
Paul Gascoigne (8th).
The top ten is completed by 44 goal man Jimmy Greaves and Kevin Keegan, the
highest placed player from the 1970s.
