Yes. And a Belgium side that's missing Kevin De Bruyne.

One wonders what havoc his creativity would've caused a bland uninspiring England.

I can't wait until Southgate leaves. He should've gone years ago.

Prosaic and passionless, this England side's flavourless football is all his doing. It's in his image.
And an England side missing Kane and Saka.

True.

But then I'd fully expect Southgate to neutralize the attacking threat that they bring like he seemingly does with everyone else.

Chilwell hanging Dunk out to dry again. Useless prick.
To be fair, Chilwell bust a gut to try and get back for that last Belgium chance, whereas Rice looked over, saw Chilwell wasn't going to make it but jogged back himself.

The problem is these are all good players but Southgate's system is not getting the best out of any of them.

Bit of a let off tonight. Bellingham v quiet until he snaffled the late equalizer. Dunk probably not done enough to make the squad. Maguire to return to general acclaim, to resume his position as the Armoire of the team.

Well I can't stand Southgate and think he should have gone a long time ago but I wouldn't fault that performance, especially the second half. Two costly errors resulted in goals but other than that we dominated and most of the play in the second 45 was in the Belgium half. Toney will be a good back up for Kane, more so than Watkins. Bowen equally as back up for Saka.

Far more spark in the team tonight than that dour performance against Brazil. That said, Paqueta shouldn't have been on the pitch and wouldn't have played the ball through for their only goal.

Was Rice preserving himself for club football throughout this game?

I haven’t followed what I am sure is a Lewis Dunk pile on but has anyone considered that Lukaku hasn’t had a shot on goal all match. Pretty sure that won’t get a mention. All things considered England look pretty good for the Euros. Of course we aren’t going to win it but do people really think we should. Blame the manager, blame Lewis Dunk but get a grip people. We are a decent team with a lot of good footballers but so are a hell of a lot of other teams. As a nation we have won one major trophy, in 1966, which is way down the list of other nations.
