History has been fortunate on that England team. Bar the Dutch game where we were Brilliant we were very average in every other game. The Spanish should've beaten us and we were fortunate to beat Hodgson's Swiss team. From memory Venables overall record wasn't exactly spectacular.

1 1 v The Swiss. The Dutch game is still the best ever game i've attended £35 a ticket though.

Me too, remember the disappointment after the first game, being knocked out and odd feeling watching the final in our national stadium and we were not playing.
wonderful watching the orange army become very quiet indeed.

Yes final was a void. I had four of the orange army in front of me, laughing at the ingerland chant. Weren't laughing at the end! But were gracious enough for handshakes all round
