So according to Shandy Townsend, their keeper should not have come out and cleared the ball?

Uh?

However you try to justify it that was a very reckless challenge by the keeper with his feet raised very high.

Not a reckless challenge by our player when he had been beaten to the ball?

Or a diving opportunity?

He got his foot on the ball and didn't touch Walcott with either of his feet. Skilled goalkeeping.

Indeed, but the ITV hype would have us believe that we should be 17-0 up against this lot by now, so you can't expect them to allow the truth to get in the way of things.

when was his feet at head hight?

when he kicked the ball and collided with WALCOTT. Had it been later in the game would have definitely been at least a yellow card. If you think it was an ok challenge how would you feel if the same thing happened with Speroni and CMS.

Keeper came and won the ball fair and square. Any subsequent collision is just unfortunate. Townsend is a pillock.

Anyone else hope San Marino sneak this one nil?

Just me?

I love the press and fan reaction when we lose, especially against teams we expect to beat (or even draw against when we're expected to trounce them). And having read how certain an england win is earlier, I'd get some enjoyment from us failing to win.
