Plenty of French pace on the break.

With Bronze defensively suspect, Bright not the quickest, Williamson back from serious injury and Carter on a yellow, it's a concern.

Both goals so far could've been disallowed for fouls (theirs more than ours I think). Why is there no VAR given that its at St James Park?

Hampton done ok since coming on for Earps - not a lot she could do for the goal.

Ah I see - thanks! Think I'd just assumed that at this level all games would have VAR.

What do England have to do now to have a chance of qualifying
With the convoluted qualification process, England will almost certainly qualify even if they finished 3rd in the group.

Top 2 go through automatically, 3rd and 4th go into the playoffs where England would be seeded in both games.

"In the first round, the eight teams finishing third and fourth in League A will be seeded, and drawn into ties against the five group winners and three best-ranked runners-up in League C. The eight winners progress to the second round.

The winners of the first round ties involving the seven highest-ranked teams, according to the 2024-2025 European Qualifiers overall ranking will be seeded in the second round and drawn against the seven remaining winners from the first round.

The seven winners of these ties progress to the final tournament in Switzerland."

Round 1:
League C group leaders so far are Belarus, Slovenia, Montenegro, Romania and Albania.
The 3 best ranked 2nd placed teams are Greece, Luxembourg and Armenia.
Expect a double digit scoreline against any of them.

Round 2:
England could expect a side such as Portugal, Serbia or Ukraine as well as Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.
A closer game, but England would start as clear favourites against any of those.

Good job too. It's incredible that France, Sweden and England have all ended up in the same qualifying group.
