Just remembered that the England v Egypt (Wed 3rd March) friendly tickets go on sale tomorrow. Was about to e-mail a few mates to see who is going and then saw that the ticket prices are £40 or £30!

Even the family enclosure is £30 per adult and £15 per child.

I see a pretty small Wembley crowd for this one. Many England fans are saving up for South Africa (like me) so wont be forking out £30 for a friendly against poor opposition!

Anyone going? Not sure why the FA have kept prices so high for this one. Looking at the FA Cup crowds people are not spending money on games they dont see as important ie just over 15k at Newcastle etc etc

They can.......poke it up their arses!

Given that it looks like the WC is going to be undersubscribed I feel slightly justified missing so many home games in the last period.

Unless we do well in the world cup I can't see Poland/Ukraine being overly popular either.

I bet there will be a fair few Egyptians living in England who will swell the numbers slightly.

I know they have the ground to play for but games like this would benefit from being played at other grounds around the country.

If you don't buy, you're not being ripped off, and they might lower prices in future. Some premiership fans have stopped buying season tix as a result of the high prices and the clubs will just have to readjust. England too perhaps?

Mind you - Egypt a "rubbish team"? They might well be African champions in 3 weeks' time.

See my last post. They've promised club wembley members a certain number of England games over a year.

Nobody I know is going so hopefully there will be thousands of empty seats. Regardless of Egypt being african champions or not they are still not a big attraction for a friendly in March at Wembley at pretty much full prices.

Englandfans have confirm all Englands World Cup matches have been under subscribed (you had to apply by the 13th Jan) so everyone who applied will get the matches they wanted, just the category of tickets to be confirmed

Prices are

Group games
£105/£79/£53
Round of 16
£132/£99/£66
Quater Final
£197/£132/£99
Semi Final
£395/£263/£165
Final
£592/£395/£263

Hoping for a lot of bottom category tickets but expect will end up with some mid prices. Hopefully no really expensive ones! Category will be done by ballott by the FA!

"Poor opposition" ? At the moment they've won back-to-back African Nations Cups' without losing a game and are favourites for the current one. I don't think £30 to watch England (who are looking the best they've done in the last forty years) versus the African champions is too much, isn't it also tthe last home international before the World Cup as well?

I'll be there. Got 4 tickets at £30 right next to the tunnell, 17 rows back in the lower tier. Personally for an England game against reasonable opposition at Wembley I think that is pretty good value. Especially when you compare that to the £23 (based on season ticket cost) I pay to watch Brighton in league one against crap in a crap stadium.

Nothing compares to the superb value we're getting from Villa though to be fair. (feeble effort to avoid having a thread without the word Villa in it!)

I would think the matches against Poland/Ukraine will be sellouts considering the number of Poles and Ukrainians (with Polish , Latvian , Lithuanian and Estonian ID ) that are working here.

I'm asuming they mean the Euro's in 2012 which are being hosted in Poland and Ukraine...

I'm going to the Egypt game, quite looking forward to it aswell. At the minute i prefer England games rather than the Albion.
