2.30pm KICK OFF @ The Rose Bowl.

I'm off down there this afternoon. Fingers crossed that the sun shines, and here's to an England win, in a sport that we are currently not rubbish at.

A word for Mr Flower....

You know that Luke Wright bloke you seem to pick for his fielding, well back at Sussex he has been known to take the odd wicket so instead of Collingwoods trundlers why not give him a go?

England (probable) 1 Andrew Strauss (capt), 2 Craig Kieswetter (wk), 3 Kevin Pietersen, 4 Paul Collingwood, 5 Eoin Morgan, 6 Luke Wright, 7 Tim Bresnan, 8 Graeme Swann, 9 Stuart Broad, 10 Ajmal Shahzad, 11 James Anderson.

Cricinfo have this as the probable team

I think i'd go for Yardy over Bresnan with three pace bowlers and Wright

England team
AJ Strauss*, C Kieswetter†, KP Pietersen, PD Collingwood, EJG Morgan, MH Yardy, LJ Wright, TT Bresnan, GP Swann, SCJ Broad, JM Anderson
Australia team
SR Watson, TD Paine†, RT Ponting*, MJ Clarke, MEK Hussey, CL White, JR Hopes, RJ Harris, NM Hauritz, JR Hazlewood, DE Bollinger

Good looking England team, to have 7,8,9,10 as Wright, Bresnan, Swann and Broad looks pretty strong.

Luke Wright - under-rated bowler, over-rated batsman.

Difficult to be under-rated when you aren't used! I think his batting in 4 dayers is coming along as well.

I would have him ahead of Collingwood any time, he is already a better bowler and fielder and is on his way to being a better batsman (NB golden duck now nailed on:blush:)

Better bowler - Yes by a long way.
Better batsman - Atm yes Collingwood is on a poor run of form.
Better fielder- Wright is a very good fielder, but i'm sorry imo Collingwood is one of the best in the world.

IMO Wright is younger, fitter, more mobile - we'll have to disagree!

Breaking News - Wright gets a bowl:eek:
