Telford FC [5 mins in the car for me]
7:30pm k/o - Friday 5th Sep [tonight]
£3 adults and £1.50 concessions [is that a bargain or what? Ok, conference ground, but international players]

Quick peek at the squad shows: Goalkeepers: Christy Pym (Exeter City), Christian Walton (Brighton & Hove Albion) - hope he gets at least a half.

Well, that's my Friday night entertainment sorted ......

Just back from the game - via several beers in the local ....

Yep, Woy was there, stood and watched as he posed for photos and selfies ....
0-0 at half time - lots of possession but not much in the final third in terms of efforts on goal [handful of shots, some on target]

Walton, mostly a spectator, can't recall him making a save.
Once the first goal went in the flood-gates opened.
Goal of the game was a near Ince replica, deep diagonal ball, hit on the full just outside the box, had the keeper beat all ends up.

Lots of kids there, 2.6k gate, apparently schools had been given loads of freebie tickets.

Think he will go out on loan to a league 2 team once one gets an injury to their main keeper. Be very good experience and will be able to call him back if needed.

Walton played 79 mins.

You would think that the Albion might actually know how many minutes Walton played for England on Friday - especially when they write an article specifically about him playing in the game, that includes an interview with him. But no; James Hilsum, you should be ashamed of yourself. TWO articles on the official website today, and BOTH state that Walton played 90 minutes. :nono::nono:

Jake Forster-Caskey has been handed his first start for England under 21s.

The Albion midfielder features in Gareth Southgate's line-up for their final European Championship qualifier in Moldova (5pm).

England have already won the group and Southgate has given Forster-Caskey a spot against second-placed Moldova at the Sheriff Sports Complex in Tiraspol, with James Ward-Prowse and Nathaniel Chalobah both suspended.

The Seagulls' prospect was an unused substitute as England won 1-0 in Lithuania on Friday.

He made his debut for the under 21s as a substitute in Wales at the end of last season and has since played in the under 20 Toulon tournament in France.

England: Bond; Keane, Garbutt, Lascelles, Moore; Forster-Caskey, Hughes, Carroll; Redmond, Kane, Berahino. Subs: Blackman, Blackett, Gibson, Ince, Pritchard, Ings, Woodrow.

Forster-Caskey and Derby's Will Hughes, plus sub Ben Gibson (M'boro) are the only outfield players in the squad who are not at Premier League clubs, or in the case of Redmond (Norwich) and Woodrow (Fulham) actually played in the Prem last year.
