Good to see a few 'fringe' players in the squad, but how long will the likes of Jagielka and Warnock realistically get on the pitch?

Will that squad be reduced in size before the games, in addition to losing John Terry who left the pitch on a stretcher today and may have broken his arm.

I agree.

Should definitely leave out 2 of the country's best midfielders and the most exciting forward prospect.

Also Cole as he's a prick. Lets ignore the fact he's the country's best left back.

Looking forward to these 2 games, a good opportunity to see a few youngsters picked alongside the more experienced spine of the England team.

Anyone else going to the USA game?? If you haven't got your ticket yet I'd get it soon because Wembley will soon be posting the sold out signs again for an England international.

Players to feel good about:

Barry
Bentley
Hargreaves
Walcott
Rooney
Owen.

As a squad I think that's pretty mediocre by the standard of the last 20 years. There's a problem with every keeper named and none of those defenders work particularly well together.

Any team with a decent attack will enjoy playing against that collection of individuals we call a defence. Croatia will be licking their lips.

The challenge for Cappello is to somehow turn Owen, Rooney, Bentley and Walcott into some sort of goal machine. However, the shadow of Frank, Stevie G, Cashley, Terry and Rio should guarantee the team still plays with the same sort of endemic individualism and fear when it matters.
