The ONLY reason Grealish doesn't make this squad is his drunken rampage episode, except Maguire has done something even worse and is in.

And if you're inclined to pick a Championship player then why would it be Kalvin Phillips who is entirely unproven at the top level and not Ben White? There is not one Prem manager who would have Michael Keane over Ben White, and the majority would probably take White over Mings too.

And they'd all prefer to have Lewis Dunk.

Honestly, Everton fans were wanting rid of Keane last season. So shambolic they said he wasn't good enough for them. But he's good enough for England? And Mings? It's just.......[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

I remember getting to that level under Graham Taylor. He picks were getting so bizarre (Sinton, Palmer etc) I remember wanting England to lose. I find it hard to go against my country. I'm not there yet this time.

To be fair we have had a similar situation with Duffy not playing. Managers do get blindsided about players and in Southgates defence he is such an idiot that he was always going to get wrong with Dunk. I also agree that Grealish is a better option than many selected. Think Ben White needs to check if he has any foreign nationality in his grand parents if he wants to play international football.

I've long since said England will never win anything in my lifetime . . . as Long as Palarse boy is in charge he won't pick any Brighton players. Fine by me, our progress is far more iportant than any national footballing embarassment.

To be honest I have been very unimpressed by England the last 10 years or so which has been fuelled by having so many prima donna diving cheats in the team. Another reason for my dislike is that now there are several ridiculous international breaks for some mickey mouse competition which spoil the continuity of the season. Give them a midweek game and that's it, don't destroy the league. Albion is all I care about. Southgate clearly has it in for us or Lewis Dunk or both, as he said last year he wouldn't pick players from lower teams as they lack the experience of success. He has continually picked players from lower teams than ours ie. Villa and Leeds so is a liar as well as a fool. Until Dunk is there I couldn't care less about the England team.
