It's a load of bollocks. They just have to have a go at England to even it up.

It has a certain inevitability doesn't it?

Did anyone actually get on the pitch or did the stewards do the job they were employed to do?

is this serious?

from what you can see on the TV it looks like 20 odd jumped some barriers when we scored and then when we scored the 3rd some stewards started running towards the same grouo again. it hardly looked like a serious pitch invasion attempt and even if it was they got knowhere near the pitch

Most likely a fine and possibly a points deduction like the Russians got. Wouldn't surprise me.

We'll probably get thrown out of the competition just like in 2008 because Platini is scared of us winning the trophy again.

This. It's because they KNOW the English media are ripping them to shreds with the racism issue so they just have to get England somehow so they can turn around and say... 'no worse than your supporters etc'

Pathetic from Uefa. Even more pathetic than they already were before this.

Oh how I'd f***ing love to win this tournament parking the bus now! Platini... You're going to HELL!

Sorry I should have phrased that better, UEFA threatened Russia with a 6 point deduction from the next qualifying tournament if their fans stepped out of line again.

Because fans getting excited is the same as beating the shit out of innocent stewards and people?

Uefa are a joke!

Is your avatar the latest from LadyGull?

I was just reading the thread about where former posters on here have gone and thinking that poor old Hissing Sid would be having apoplexy at the thought of England being punished for a few fans trying to run on the pitch. Mind you there's a few come to mind who can take up cudgels on his behalf

I'm surprised you even have the cheek to use 'we' considering you always seem to take an anti English stance at every opportunity.
You're usually pro palace too.

And what about these allegations (which as far as I can see haven't been denied) about Swedish journo spying on England tactics meeting and passing on info about set pieces and team selections - hope this will be thoroughly investigated and dealt with appropriately .....

I've only just noticed the similarities there. Its former American tennis player and playboy centrefold Ashley Harlkeroad.

I can only imagine the massive binfest come the 20th June should the FA get a similar punishment!

There's a lot of it about. I can't see any justification for claiming that UEFA is picking on the English.

UEFA today confirms that it has opened disciplinary proceedings against the German Football Association (DFB) following last night's UEFA EURO 2012 Group B match between Germany and the Netherlands in Kharkiv.
The DFB is charged with the setting-off of fireworks and the throwing of missiles by supporters. The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body will deal with the case on Monday 18 June.

The German Football Association (DFB) has today been fined €10,000 by the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body for the throwing of missiles by its supporters at last Saturday's UEFA EURO 2012 Group B match between Germany and Portugal in Lviv.

The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) has been fined €5,000 for a delayed kick-off to the second half at the same match.

The Croatian Football Federation (HNS) has been fined €25,000 by the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body following incidents at the match against the Republic of Ireland.
The sanction has been imposed for the setting-off and throwing of fireworks and missiles, and a pitch invasion by a supporter, at the Group C game in Poznan on Sunday 10 June.

UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) for the setting-off and throwing of fireworks, and the improper conduct of supporters (racist chants, racist symbols) at the UEFA EURO 2012 Group C match against Italy in Poznan on Thursday.
The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body will deal with the case on 19 June.

UEFA has today announced that disciplinary proceedings have been opened against Denmark's Nicklas Bendtner for improper conduct (Law 4 of the Laws of the Game) at the UEFA EURO 2012 Group B match against Portugal in Lviv on Wednesday 13 June.
The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body will deal with this case on Monday.

Any idea what this relates to?
