Wherever The Mood Takes Me
Oh, have a day off.

Did nothing after the first ten.

Rubbish, he was easily our best player. His passes were the only passes that ever produced anything like an opportunity and he was the only player to even bother putting any effort into tackling.

I know he's a Liverpool player, and knowing the team you support you must hate him but you can't be that blinkered.

Given that I support the same team as you, you should hate him also judging by that shit theory.

Gerrard - class act for Liverpool, overrated for England (although he was comfortably our best player in the World Cup).

After a couple of crunching tackles early on and that cracking pass to Crouch, he spent virtually the entire game in the centre circle without going anywhere, other than when he was wasting our free kicks.

How that makes him our best player I don't know, when Johnson was our ONLY attacking threat.

Wherever The Mood Takes Me
If Gerrard was better than Johnson, especially "comfortably", then I need an urgent appointment at specsavers.

I dont think Johnson was bad tonight but I cant remember anything he did to make him better than Gerrrard tonight.

Gerrard was easily our best passer & tackler tonight. Johnson beat the left back a couple of times and produced nothing. Sorry, but he's no David Beckham or even Aaron Lennon.

Yeah sorry I know you're a BHA fan, I should of said "given who your favourite premiership team is".

Well, all that I can say then is we were looking at the game totally differently. I Didn't consider Johnson an attacking threat at all and thought Gerrard was good for the whole 90 mins.

Hart - 6 - Had nothing to do.
G Johnson - 4 - Should of got forward more. Kept giving the ball away.
Ferdinand - 5 - Needed to bring the ball forward into the space in front of him rather than lump it forward to Crouch or play a 2 yard ball to Gerrard.
Lescott - 5 - As above.
A Cole - 5 - Could of got forward more. Kept miscontrolling the ball.
A Johnson - 6.5 - Looked lively but final ball let him down.
Gerrard - 6 - Kept dropping too deep. Lack of movement from other players meant he play too many Hollywood passes.
Barry - 3 - I rate him, but he was really poor last night. Pedestrian and too casual in possession.
Young - 6 - Similar to Johnson. Needed to go on outside of full back more often.
Rooney - 4 - No positional discipline. Rarely got into the position to score a goal. Often seen on halfway line instead of further up the pitch. Should have scored.
Crouch - 4 - Again, normally does well in an England shirt, but poor last night. Service not great, but outmuscled by physical centre backs.

Davies - 4 - There is a reason why he has never been picked before.
Wright Phillips - 5.5 - Did not want him to come on, but looked lively. Poor final ball again.

Crouch and Barry were dog shit. Rooney is unfit or not bothered. Glen Johnson was good in patches and woeful in others. Bar that is was all very average but not as bad as the papers would have you believe.
